SOS - FILM

SYPNOSIS

S.O.S. is a call for help — an ironic yet thoughtful exploration of the modern pursuit of wellness amplified in the digital age.

Beneath the surface of an idyllic holiday retreat scene, the film explores the absurdity of our frantic quest for serenity, themes of wellness practices, privilege and personal dysfunction. Shot on location in Anapoima,

Colombia, the film moves through dark comedy, sharp satire and psychological drama. Constança Entrudo collaborates with director Cristina Sánchez Salamanca and an all-Colombian crew to dissect themes of privilege, disconnection and the commodification of wellness. Both with distinct practices and aesthetics—yet united by parallel inquiries into femininity, the human condition, mental health, and the discontent of our endless, hyper-capitalist, post-digital era.

Part satirical, part autobiographical, S.O.S. becomes an all-too-real examination of constant unease, hyperconnection, and internal struggle many of us face. Juana del Rio embodies a desperate soul chasing inner peace on a picture-perfect getaway.
